About Zachary: Scud has had a long history in music since picking up the Alto Sax in middle school band, and preceded to successfully audition for all manners of All State/County Concert and Jazz Bands. Zack began singing in preparation for his 2004 Summer tour of Europe, and in the school year following, successfully auditioned for All State Choir, solidifying his intent to be a Music Major. Zack has also acted or played in the pit of several musicals. Zack is currently a Music Education Major with minors in Jazz and Voice at UD, and is not even worried about Grad school yet (he considers himself a “High School Senior” in college class rank as to the the number of years he has remaining at UD as of Spring ’07, while offically having been at UD for 2 years). Zack has studied sax with Todd Groves and Kevin VanSykle, and has worked with Jim Ancona of the Rosemont, Il Cavaliers, and Adam Baumol on Percussion. All Zack’s voice training has been from large choirs, he has studied with Dr. Paul Head, and Mrs. Gail Kelso. Some of Zack's most profound musical influences are Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Victor Wooten (also a deep philisophical influence), Dave Matthews Band, Jeff Coffin, the Manhattan Transfer, and Tower of Power.
